Car history: |
1969 Chevrolet Corvette 427 Big Block. Numbers Matching. Full correct restoration. This beautiful 1969 big block Corvette is extremely correct and beautiful in every way with it's eye catching Monza Red Paint and Monza Red Interior combination. This car is an absolute pleasure to drive and draws a crowd wherever it goes. Body and Paint: The body on this car is razor straight with all of its original panels and has never been in any accident over the course of its life. The paint is the original color the car came with, Monza Red, and is full laquear paint like when it was new. The finish and shine and overall appearance is wonderful in person. Glass and Trim: The side and rear windows are all still original and the windshield is new. The side windows still has the factory "Astro Vent " designation on them. The rear window does come out and stores in the rear compartment for a true convertible feeling when the T-Tops are off. All of the window trim and and chrome is in great condition and will not need to be replaced. Engine, Transmission and Rear Axle: The engine is the original correct numbers matching engine with engine code and vin number visible to the naked eye. The engine was professionally rebuilt and balanced along with the transmission and performs flawlessly. The rear end received all new bears, U joints, drive shafts, hubs and more at a cost of over $2,500.00 and is very tight and smooth when the posi is activated. Interior: The interior of this car is quite striking in person and is half original and half restored. The dash, center console, door panels, and some carpet is still original and in like new appearance. The front seats have been professionally recovered and appear like original OEM. The center console plate is original with the 427/390 designation still in place and with the fiber optics still working. Brakes: All of the brakes are new and are stainless steel and do not require any attention. The car is stored in a nice and neat heated storage facility and is not driven in any type of poor weather. 50,688 miles. April 21, 2008. |
